Inspiration:

This abstract cityscape is purely my subconscious mind playing with the canvas. I did not mean it to be a cityscape. I did not even know where it was going when I painted the background. It was trial and error, painting, removing some layers, then adding again, then trying to achieve the balance, etc.
I enjoy experimenting as you never know where you'll end up. The feeling that the artwork is finished is something internal that I cannot even explain. Some magic✨

When it was finished I saw Amsterdam, a city which used to be a big part of my life.
